The “MERO3 FPSO Naming and Delivery Ceremony” was recently held at the Yantai Base of CIMC Raffles, marking another important milestone for CIFUCO in FPSO projects.
As the main supplier of lighting fixtures, Golan equipment, junction boxes, and control stations for the MERO3 project, CIFUCO provided an integrated overall solution and delivered a highly satisfactory result to the client.
This is the first FPSO conversion project in China in which hull conversion, full module construction and integration, as well as FPSO system commissioning, were all completed within the same shipyard.
The project was undertaken by CIMC Raffles and delivered to the shipowner Malaysia International Shipping Corporation. It will subsequently provide services for Petrobras and be deployed at the MERO oilfield in the Libra Block offshore Rio de Janeiro, supporting the development of Brazil’s deepwater pre-salt oil reserves.
