As a core supplier to BP, CIFUCO has made its mark through a series of explosion-proof products,including lighting fixtures, junction boxes, Golan equipment, and control stations.
In 2017, BP discovered a natural gas field spanning the offshore maritime border between Mauritania and Senegal, marking the beginning of its operations in the region. Followingagreements signed with the governments of Mauritania and Senegal, BP launched the development of the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) gas project operated by BP in both countries.
The GTA mega-project adopts an innovative design featuring the deepest subsea infrastructure in the region, a Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessel (FPSO), and the world’s first offshore LNG hub terminal. The hub terminal includes an offshore breakwater designed to protect the Floating LNG facilities, LNG loading facilities, and the jack-up living quarters platform from the region’s harsh weather and marine conditions.
The jack-up living quarters platform is a core component of the GTA project. Its design and construction embody the hard work, dedication, and full commitment of both the CIMC Raffles and BP project teams. Through close cooperation and overcoming numerous challenges together, the project was ultimately delivered with outstanding results.
