The MTL5500 series isolators provide intrinsically safe (IS) communication and signal conditioning for a wide range of hazardous area equipment. There is complete AC and DC isolation between the input, output and power supply of the individual power supply unit and between the input and output of the loop power supply unit.
IS grounding is not required. din rail mounting and plug-in signal and power connectors simplify installation and maintenance. It is powered by a 20 to 35V DC supply, or in some cases, by the signal itself.
Our latest generation of IS interfaces employ innovative "One-Core" technology to ensure the highest quality and availability while maintaining maximum flexibility at the lowest cost. Combined with an advanced circuit design, a common set of components and an innovative isolation transformer construction, they achieve a significant reduction in power consumption while increasing channel package density.
The 16 mm wide design reduces weight and provides an extremely high packaging density.
